About Troop 15

Troop 15 – Stamford, CT

Scoutmaster Welcome Message:

Check out Boy Scouts with Troop 15! Scouting with Troop 15 is about having fun – camping, fishing, archery, hiking and exploring the world around us. Along the way you learn to solve problems, lead others, and gain skills that may one day save someone’s life. I am confident you too will like what Scouting offers your son. And of course, adult participation is welcomed and encouraged, and provides memories that will last a lifetime.

Troop 15 has had tremendous success guiding young men along the path to Eagle Scout. While the goal is for each scout that joins Troop 15 to obtain the rank of Eagle, it is also about the journey. The adult leaders of the troop come from many different backgrounds and use their experiences to mentor the youth leaders of the troop as they plan and execute the annual program.

GET OUTDOORS! Troop 15 generally camps or has other outdoor activities every month of the year. Getting outside challenges the boys to learn new skills. It also is a great opportunity for the boys to develop lasting friendships. The boys interact and work together in a positive and healthy environment. Lasting memories are created of places the boys visit and experiences they share.

BE A LEADER! Boy Scouts is a unique opportunity for boys age 11 to 17 to learn leadership skills. Young men are mentored in developing leadership skills and are provided the opportunity to hone those skills with their peers.

ACCOMPLISHMENT! The boys advance at their own pace. Encouragement and assistance is always available to the boys. A young man that earns his Eagle Scout rank demonstrates focus and strong character. The Boy Scouts of America is one of the few organizations reinforcing the lessons learned in our homes. Scouting’s founder said, “Scouting is fun with a purpose.” That is still true today as the boys have a great time while learning the timeless values of the Boy Scouts. Scouting’s values are devotion to God, service to our country, and service to others. Troop 15 is a safe place to make friends and enjoy the outdoors.

I personally invite you and your son to visit Troop 15. Please call me or send me an email if I can answer any questions.

Yours In Scouting,

Barry Morris, Scoutmaster
