What you need to know:
Your Council: Connecticut Yankee
Your Troop 15
Scouts do NOT need the uniform pants. Our Cubs usually wear blue slacks, jeans and/or shorts with the blue cub scout belt (Webelos wear green or khaki colored pants). The upper uniform, cap, and insignia is all you need; you will need the patches for the “Connecticut Yankee Council” and “Pack 11″.
Uniform & Handbooks:
Advice: Consider buying your younger scout a slightly larger shirt at first and let them grow in to it, this avoids having to resew the patches multiple times.

In general, every Boy Scout should wear his uniform to all Scouting activities, including Troop and Patrol meetings, unit outings, and any activities done with members of the patrol or troop.
When playing sports, going to camp, or participating in other physical activities, a pack may opt to have the Boy Scouts wear an alternate uniform, such as an activity shirt or Troop T-Shirt known as a “Class B” uniform. Pack leaders should provide advance notice of any occasion when the boys should wear anything other than the complete uniform.
Here are some tips for wearing the uniform:
- DO keep the uniform clean and in good repair. The official uniform is a sturdy, machine washable garment that will last for years with proper care.
- DO your best to wear the complete uniform.
- DO NOT wear non-BSA badges, awards, or insignia on the Cub Scout uniform or make any alterations to the uniform or insignia.
- Consider marking your uniform parts with your scout’s initials, as uniform parts are often “exchanged” during play at Troop and Patrol meetings, or during activities such as camping and hiking.
